Local RTSP/ONVIF stream on most NVR/DVR kits and IP cameras. Path is often Dahua-style /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 (varies by model — TO CONFIRM on the unit), port 554. Local-first, cloud optional.
Worth knowing : Ex-Dahua lineage: NDAA §889 / supply-chain scrutiny. Newer cloud-leaning WiFi cameras may not expose a local stream.
