Hanwha Wisenet Wisenet cameras (RTSP/ONVIF)

Local RTSP/ONVIF stream. Path /profile2/media.smp (sub-stream /profile3/media.smp), port 554; profile index depends on model config — use ONVIF if /profile2 fails. Legacy Samsung: /onvif/...

How to set it up

Before you start

  • An active administrator account on the camera (password set at first activation, via the Wisenet app or the web interface) — Noviscan does not create it.
  • The correct profile number (profile<no>) for your model: varies by configuration (profile2 is the main stream documented by Hanwha) — confirm on the unit if /profile2 fails.
  • The camera and Noviscan on the same local network.

Steps

  1. Note the camera's local IP address (Wisenet app, or your router's DHCP table).
  2. In Noviscan's Sources screen, search for "Hanwha Wisenet" and select the model: the form is pre-filled (port 554, path /profile2/media.smp).
  3. Enter the IP address, then the administrator username and password.
  4. If /profile2/media.smp fails, try /profile1/media.smp (live stream) or /profile3/media.smp (sub-stream) — the index depends on the model's configuration.
  5. Save: the source tests the connection and reports any credential or path error straight away.

If something goes wrong

  • Connection refused despite correct credentials: check the port if the camera uses an RTSP port other than 554 (configurable, range 1024-65535 and 554).
  • Legacy Samsung Techwin models: the path is /onvif/... rather than /profile<no>/media.smp — go through ONVIF instead.
  • Multi-sensor camera (PNM-…): the path includes a sensor number (/0/, /1/…) before the profile — see the model's documentation.
