Bosch Caméras Bosch (RTSP/ONVIF)

Local RTSP/ONVIF stream (S). Universal path /rtsp_tunnel, port 554 (also 80/10600 on some). Bosch's RTSP path is poorly standardized — prefer ONVIF discovery; firmware >= 4.0 required. German manufacturer (NDAA-compliant).

How to set it up

Before you start

  • Camera firmware 4.0 or later for H.264 RTSP (RTSP exists from firmware 3.0, but MPEG4 only); 4.10+ for audio in the stream.
  • RTSP enabled in the camera's network configuration (Bosch web interface).
  • The camera's local IP address.
  • The precise model (Flexidome/Dinion/Autodome/…) if the universal path fails: Bosch's RTSP is poorly standardized, ONVIF discovery is often more reliable than a fixed path.

Steps

  1. In Noviscan's Sources screen, search for "Bosch": the path /rtsp_tunnel and port 554 are pre-filled.
  2. Enter the IP, username and password.
  3. If the universal path fails, try the alternative ports 80 or 10600 seen on some models.
  4. If nothing works, prefer ONVIF discovery (Bosch itself documents the RTSP path as poorly standardized across its ranges).
  5. Save: the source tests the connection.

If something goes wrong

  • Connection refused: check the firmware (H.264 RTSP requires >= 4.0) and that RTSP is enabled in network settings.
  • Path /rtsp_tunnel refused: this path is not guaranteed across all Bosch ranges — try ports 80/10600, or use ONVIF discovery.
  • No sound in the stream: RTSP audio requires firmware 4.10 or later.
  • Federal compliance: Bosch is a German manufacturer, NDAA-compliant — no further check needed on this point.
